Café Phoenix is a rich, dark and smooth Porter with flavours of caramel, toffee and coffee. It blends seven malts, with each adding to the beer’s complexity and depth of flavour, from the sweet caramel notes of Crystal through to the roasted flavours from Brown, Chocolate and Carafa III. Single-hopped with UK Phoenix, a hop that adds flavours of molasses and chocolate, Café Phoenix is accentuated with a coffee blend exclusive to Brains, selected for its mellow but full flavour.

Barry Island IPA 6% ABV

Created by Simon Martin, aka Mr Real Ale Guide, this India Pale Ale was inspired by the ‘IPA revolution’ across the pond. The boy from Barry has used a trio of hops from the US in this pale coloured ale, which is bursting with citrus aromas. A unique smooth malt taste upfront is finished off by a vigorous bitterness and a ‘tidy’ clout of citrus and berry hop flavours.

Cambrian Pale – 4.6% ABV

Brewed to celebrate the opening of Brains Craft Brewery bar, The Cambrian Tap. Pale ale and cara malts form a smooth, sweet, malty beer that has been generously hopped with Mandarina Bavaria and Mosaic to give vibrant, fruity orange and tangerine flavours and aromas, balanced with a clean, crisp bitterness.

Frisco – 4.4% ABV

A California Common brewed with San Francisco Lager Yeast and a trio of American hops; Cluster, Willamette and Chinook. This style of beer is often referred to as “steam” beer due to the relatively warm fermentation temperature.

Pale amber in colour, Frisco is fruity with hints of caramel, a crisp bitterness and a dry biscuity finish.

Nelson Sauvin – 4.4%ABV

Nelson Sauvin is the fifth in a series of single hopped lagers, brewed with 100% lager malt and the Nelson Sauvin hop. Originating from New Zealand, Nelson Sauvin takes its name from its unique strong fruity flavor and aroma that is described as resembling white wine, or fresh crushed grapes with hints of grapefruit and gooseberry. The result is a distinctive and refreshing beer with a crisp, dry finish.

Stars and Stripes 4.5% ABV

A naturally hazy golden coloured ale brewed with wheat malt and Californian Ale Yeast. An all-American hop line-up of Chinook, Centennial, Citra and Amarillo gives aromas of grapefruit and tropical fruit on the nose, citrus flavours and a crisp bitterness making Stars and Stripes a deliciously drinkable and refreshing beer.

Crowded Hops 4.6% ABV

Crowded Hops is a New Zealand pale ale crammed with Kiwi hops.

This light copper coloured beer is hopped with Dr Rudi, Pacific Jade, Nelson Sauvin and Pacifica giving it a tropical burst balanced with a grapefruit sharpness and a subtle fruity wine character.
